Rapid Drying Additive For Seal coatings

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

STAR MACRO-FAST® is a latex additive that speeds up the drying of seal coatings without increasing their viscosity. Based on rubberizing polymers and specialty chemicals, STAR MACRO-FAST® also improves the overall performance and durability of the seal coating. It has excellent compatibility with both coal tar and asphalt emulsion based coatings.

OUTSTANDING PROPERTIES

* Speeds up drying of seal coatings thereby reducing labor cost.

* Recommended for both refined coal tar and asphalt emulsion based seal coatings.

* Does not affect viscosity of the sealer.

* Hardens the seal coating and reduces power steering marks, scuffing and tearing.

* Makes seal coatings dry blacker and more uniformly under sun or shade.

* Improves tensile strength, flexibility and adhesion.

* Improves fuel and chemical resistance.

* Water (latex) based; Water clean up. Safe to use and store.

SUGGESTED MIX DESIGNS

 The following mix is shown in the order of addition.

Mixing Tips: - Add water to the sealer and start agitation. With agitation on,

- Add the required amount of STAR MACRO-FAST®.

- Add the sand last. It should be added at a regular controlled rate of about 100 lbs./minute.

- Continue to mix to a smooth consistency. Adjust the speed with the addition of sand and reduce towards the end of the mix cycle.

Weather/Ambient Conditions: Temperature: 50 F and forecasted for the next 8 hrs. Relative humidity: Less than 60 is preferred. Max. 80%. Do not apply on rainy, foggy or extremely humid days.
